Nikon LS-30 install and Win XP

Are trying to install my Nikon LS-30 Coolscan on Win XP. SCSI card Adaptec 2904 (however recognised as 7850 by XP). Installed Nikonscan 3.1.2 and ASPI layer 4.70 from Adaptec. Also put wnaspi32.dll in system32 under the Windows cat. Can't get it to work! When starting Nikon Scan an error message comes up saying that it can't find any active devices. Any of you recognise this problem? Thanks in advance for *any* help! /Johan
