Whats the perceived price point on these. About 1k with the 18-70? Can't wait to get one of these babies and an 18-200 vr.
 
can't get the pictures to load... but those look like some big LCDs. i'm still a canon guy tho... but who ever puts wifi built into the camera first (not an optional add on) w/o bulking up the camera.... I might switch
 
If this camera gets anything above average reviews, good luck to anyone being able to nab one. Nikon products in are highly in demand these days with everything from the D50 to the D200 to the 18-200VR being hard to find sometimes (if not all the time).

There are plenty of bodies to go around, but for some reason Nikon can't keep up with the demand for lenses.

Doesn't this body seem big though? I'm not complaing, but if they are going to go that big just put a built-in grip too.
 
those MF'ers better not have switched to SD.... CF rocks, CHEAP, fast, just plain old good 😀

the XT isn't all too old, might be at least a year before an update IMO.

no, they need to release a REAL replacement for the 20D. Yeah, the 30D is nice, but c'mon, it's more like a 25D.

Another thing that would have me switch over... in camera IS would be cool too.. heh.. not quite the same tho

the new sony has in camera image stabalization, but god, the lenses for that beast look scary expensive 🙂

It actually is becoming pretty old. Expect a new version at Photokina this year. Can't say they'd do much with it (30D???) but there's definately going to be one. Also expect a new 1D series, many are guessing 22MP.
 
Ugh, of course this would happen less than 6 months after I bought my D70s.
If this is actually released before my trip to Japan in October, I'll have one hell of a decision to make.
 
damnit, i need to make a decision on a camera and need to do it this month or next. maybe i'll get two. i should just get the cheap pentax and some lenses, but i'm deathly afraid of dust. i don't like the rebel xt because it is too damn cramped. maybe i should get the olympus. but is it really worth 2x the pentax? and then there is this, and it looks badass (SD slot aside, seeing as how i've got 4 gb of high speed CF)

Wait another month, rumors are that Canon will be announcing a new Rebel shortly.
