First off, let me say I'm a noob when it comes to picture taking, but I am very interested in learning. My small income tax rebate is about to be here, and I found the Nikon D60 with lens for 399.00. I wanted to see if you guys (and/or ladies) would give me your impressions of this camera and price. My bro-in-law has a D50 and I've played with it just a little, and I liked the ease of use and quality of pictures. Thanks in advance for your help.
 
Wife got one for Christmas....takes very good pictures....Nice Camera....That is a good price - is the Lens a Nikor?
 
The camera doesn't make the pictures the photographer does!

One book to read through might be "understanding exposure" by brian peterson. Very helpful and teaches you the basics of getting the shot just about every time.
 
Mind telling me where your getting one for that price? I'm also in the market for one for my wife.
