Nikon CoolPix S550 memory card compatibility

Anyone know if an 8GB card will work in a Nikon CoolPix S550? The manual only shows up to 4 GB, but sometimes higher cards will work.

 
if the manual says it uses SDHC cards and the 8GB is SDHC then it will work. iirc 4GB cards are all SDHC
