Nikon 200mm f2 - unboxing

Here's an unboxing of the new Nikon 200mm f2 with some sample images via the description. I don't have 6000USD but to rent it from borrowlenses.com isn't too expensive. It'd be funny slap a D40 on there just to see how tiny it'd look.

I so want that for astrophotography.

Here are some shots taken with a Canon 200mm F/2.8 lens on an IR modified 20D !! That means the F/2 would be TWICE the sensitivity.

On some of the sample shots the bokeh was creamy.

you rarely hear about it because less then 500 were made and they cost 30 grand back in 1981

What kind of settings did you use to shoot those?

The image is a composite of 11 5-minute exposure shots that were stacked and processed in imageplus and photoshop. The camera was mounted on an expensive motorized equatorial mount.
I didn't take the pics btw 😛
