Nikkor 50mm F1.4 or Nikkor 50mm F1.8 for D1?

I just got my D1, but should I get the Nikkor 50mm F1.4 or Nikkor 50mm F1.8. The F1.8 is so cheap, I would get that if the differences is very small. Thanks
 
Depends on what you're going to do with your lens. 1.8 is wide enough for almost all jobs. If the price diffeence between the 1.4 and 1.8 is great, go with the 1.8, it's only a quarter stop off the 1.4.
