Nike Shox Turb OZ

Nebor

Lifer
I stopped by the mall a little bit ago and used my gift card (they wouldn't give me my money back even though 2 pair of Nike Free 5.0s literally came apart at the seems) to get these Nike Shox Turb OZs.

Looks: God they're ugly. I got the blue and silver. But man... sooo ugly. They're not cool and versatile like the Free 5.0s, these you'll only be wearing to work out. I'm looking at them right now, and they kinda make me wanna gag.

Feel: Like my feet are wrapped in pillows. I have ultimate cushioning, all the way around. They're also very "bouncy" around the house, like they want to make you run all the time by putting a little spring in your step.

Running: Haven't done it yet, I sprinted around the yard for a little bit, they seem really really cushy. Especially compared to the Free 5.0s. I'll update with real world running experience later on.

Does anyone else think it's strange that I got more Nike shoes when the last ones were utter crap?

not really. People are feircely loyal to brands, regardless of quality because of massive amounts of advertising, and because of the fact that if they buy something different then they may be admitting they made a poor decision the first time...etc.

Well, I also really like the charity that Nike runs throughout southeast asia to help children.

The reason the OP's Frees kept coming apart at the seems is he probably got the running version. He should have got the trainers for more strength.

heh . . . .

I like Nike and NB.
Nike for their basketball shoes and NB for their casual and running shoes.
They're comfy for me.
it really doesn't have much to do with advertising.
They also look good 🙂

I got the regular Shox a few years ago just to wear as shoes and they fell apart after a year. Nikes...😕

i've never had a pair of nike air's i didn't like the feel of or that didn't last longer than i could stand to wear them. i had one pair of cross trainers for 6 years, and they still had "cush" in them. that said, i haven't liked their designs for more than decade.

AYe. My trainers are doing fine

I'm about to head out for my maiden run in these babies.

Sadly, I've lost my voice due to illness. My throat hurts like crazy too. 🙁

Anyway, let's see what pace I can pull in these bad boys.

I am sick but jsut came from my run and feel better....don't go running if you are really sick...I was really sick and had to cut back to nothing but am a lot better right now.

Paced a crappy 8 minutes Friday night. Was really sick yesterday, slept for like 14 hours last night. Feelin' a little better now, still unable to speak though. 🙁

But anyway, heading out again, let's see if I can improve my time! I should have "sick laps" like Top Gear has wet laps. 😛
