Nike Shox TL

I think it's just a gimmick to attract customers to buying something 'new' rather than the norm then stack a hefty premium on it.

Those are the fugliest shoes I have ever seen. You'll look like a total wanker walking around in those.

I have two pairs of normal Nike Shox and they are great for running. I am sure the Shox TL are even more comfortable🙂

shox tls are kind of ugly truthfully. a few guys on my track team have them and i tried them. they're comfy as heck, but agh...its pretty nasty looking. now the Shox NZ, those are possibly the most beautiful running shoes ever. especially the white/yellow/black of it. much cheaper than the TLs if i remember correctly too. havent tried them on before though.

Just to make something clear to you guys, i buy running shoes for RUNNING, and nothing else. If i'm not running, i'm either working around in safety boots (at work) or dress shoes. And i absolutely love the design, i've looked at hundreds of pairs of shoes at the store and none appealed to me nearly as much. I have a taste for the unusual.

for running, the tls are really good shoes. like i said, ive tried them and they are really comfortable, great support. not overly heavy for the cushioning they provide. dont know about motion control or stability, but i did try them on for a day at practice, and it was pretty comfortable and i had little fatigue in the feet. other people i know that run in them think they're great as well.

So which is better: TL or NZ?

i dont know, ive personally only ran in the TLs. no one i know has tried the NZ extensively yet since they are new. im guessing it would perform very well as well. if it were me, id buy the NZ simply because its cheaper and it looks really good. if i wanted performance+training and such, the TLs would be right on. i dont think i have any complaints about it as far as comfort and support is concerned. fit me well, even though i tend to over-pronate. other people from track that have narrower feet enjoy the TL ride as well, so imo itd probably be a pretty good all around running shoe.

btw: check out nikerunning.com i just checked and they have both the NZ and TL featured on the shoe page. they give the NZ one higher notch for "lightweight" and everything else the same. so from that, im guessing the TL will be a tad bit heavier, with the benefit of slightly more forfoot and maybe midfoot cushioning. both seem very similar however...

Price isn't an issue at all. I can get the NZ for about $60 and the TL for about $75, so quality is my only concern.

wow krassus, for that price. you're striking a huge bargain!! i guess itll be best if go test them out a bit. see which one feels better or what not. im guessing they are very similar.

I took the NZ for a test run last night and they're incredible. They didn't have a pair of TLs to try out though. But they're MSRP $150 and NZ is $100, so i'm guessing TL would be better.
