My opinion is based on the previous usage of my repaired optics, i guess im easy to please

Observation of the skies is difficult and requires good optics or you'll have a lot of aberration and glaring. A good pair of binoculars ($400+) is ideal for star viewing.

I have a pretty good sized binocular collection. For star gazing, I own a pair of Vortex Kaibab 15x56 binoculars I use for quick sky viewing when I don't want to drag my telescopes out. But good binoculars can be had for less.
