I tried installing Norton IS 2005. It says the product was intalled successfully. I registered the product and restarted. The software is disabled and won`t allow me to
activate or open the product. Wasted an hour and a half with Symantech tech support in India. They hung up on me twice and it was a horrific experrience from a customer support perspective. It seems that something called Symantech core V...(not Exactly this but close) has not installed on my computer because I have used other A/V software in the past. I have uninstalled all other A/V software, and tried to delete it from the registry. It seems hard to believe you can`t use this product if you have used other A/V software in the past. Any help would be welcomed. I will never buy another Symantech product again because the service/support was so poor.
Using XP home with SP2 with windows firewall currently disabled. Yes, I am behind a router.
