Nightline: Inspectors says inpections probably won't work and that Saddam is just buying time.

Great Nightline piece tonight about how hard it is to be an inspector in Iraq. They said out of 100's of surprised inspections in 7 years only maybe 12 were actually surprises to the Iraq officials. They were always tipped off and would send dozen of trucks to remove any sensitive equipment before the inpectors were allowed in.

Iraq officials would often disrupt the inpections and sometimes they even learned how to improve there weapons program by slip ups by the experts saying that's not how we would do it.

I seriously getting saddam fatigue, they need to take care of him and let's move on.

He probably wouldn't mind inspections now as long as his 40,000 acre "palaces" are still off-limits.

Confirmed
Well you still have former head UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter running around saying that the inspections were working just fine and that Iraq doesn't have any weapons at all.

It was a good Nightline that really went more in depth of what the inpectors were up agianst over there in Iraq. What surprise me was that I watch Oprah after and she was doing her show on Iraq today. She had some guy from the CIA and some people who escaped from Iraq and told what Saddam was really like. One guy made the mistake telling a joke about Saddam and was taken away and imprisoned for 47 days without food most days.

I guess Saddam doesn't have much of a sense of humour.

You of course have to realize that everything Scott Ritter says now contradicts what he said before congress in 1998. He was either lieing then or he's lieing now. It's just that all the evidence, and testimony's before congress this year by the head of the biological and checmical weapons inspectors, agrees with what Ritter said in 1998.

Scott Ritter is an idiot, he doesn't know jack about foreign policy. He just blathers on and on about inspections. He must be a Democrat.

Trying to produce Saddum fatigue, I suspect, is part of the Bush people's strategy. They know Americans are impatient and will tire of hearing about Saddum in the headlines.
