Is it hidden camera or did they get Foxconn's permission to go inside? Because if it's the later, it's going to be highly sanitized by Foxconn.

And in a stunning admission, a Foxconn executive, who spent 15 years at Apple, tells me he thinks "Nightline" probably wouldn't be here if it weren't for the deadly explosions and suicides.

stil, its the first video ever of Foxconn. i'm actually excited to see this

China is powered by slave labor? I thought they were a first world country given their PPP per capita is about $8,000 even though they work 24/7 and their hourly wage is like $1 or whatever.

Anyone surprised at how bad China sucks should check to make sure their pants are not on their head right now.

The Fair Labor audit was not a surprise audit = whitewash.

Apple also paid for the audit = conflict of interest.

Foxconn employees get paid about $2/hr. Employees at factories in other nations such as Vietnam, Cambodia get about $100 -$150/month or $5/day or less.

And thats because they have higher minimum wages.

Foxxcon pays higher than the Chinese minimum wage.

And the US really cannot say anything. The early days of the US was built by slave labor. Later it was indentured servitude via company towns. And the US didnt stop abusing labor and child labor until the '30's.

Nice.

What's interesting to note about shitty factories is that they often pay better than every other job available. It's like than in first world countries too. Working at a car factory would suck major ass compared to what I do now, but people do it because that job pays a lot more than most other jobs.

well according to yesterday's broadcast, those poor $1.80 hourly workers pay about 70 cents a meal and $12.50/month for rent. doesn't seem so bad at those rates

Not very different than when any public company in the US gets audited by the CPA/SOX firms that they hire and pay for themselves.

In the pictures i saw their housing quarters were more like sleeping quarters found in a sub where you have stacked beds in a tiny area.
