Everyone we have talked to always longs for the US because of cheap long-distance rates. Though the Internet cafes acan help on some ports, if you can get the time off.
 
I'm connected at all times but the speed is all over the place. (seabiscuit mode!)

I have a sat phone as well and *lots* of electronic stuff. I like to know what's going on at all times. I have 13 digital barometers, for example. 🙂
