Nigerian Scam - need hackers

This is the third time that someone has tried to scam me in the same way. They try and buy something from me that I have listed online, the first time was a car on ebay. They send me a cashiers check, fake of course, ask me to cash it and send them the money. Now cashiers checks are supposed to be like cash, but they aren't, if they don't clear then it comes back out of your account. Now I was skeptical of the whole deal so they didn't scam me but I'm sure that they are scaming plenty of other people out there and it really should be stopped. I've contacted the FBI and the Secret Service and both are useless, the secret service is about as useless as tits on a boar and twice as stupid. So that leaves it up to civilians. What I suggest is to get in contact with these people and try to hack into their computer and find out who they are trying to scam. Then try and contact these people and let them know that they are being scammed. If the scams stop working then maybe the scammers will stop as well. If anyone has any interest in this or any skills on tracking someone's computer down with their IP address then please let me know. Thanks for your help in advance.

Sure thing buddy.

I used to sell ultima online stuff a couple years ago on eBay. Turns out some guy was scamming/using stolen cards and I had already given him the items.

To make a long story short I tracked him down 🙂

Get info from your email header. If you have their IP resolve it, find out the general area they live. Back when I did this I ran an IPtoUIN tool for ICQ that got me his ICQ UIN but I don't know if they exist (I'm not into the "scene"). Start making an "identity" file of everything you find on them. Search google. Find links to email addresses....investigate those further.

Let one thing lead to another. Entrap them if you must (that borders the law though). Setup another auction that pays attention to their likes/dislikes (make it similar to your other one) but use another ebay name or whatnot.

Act totally dumb and go along with it and just piece together information. For me all it took was an ICQ number I got from the guy and I searched his ICQ information. An older email address but no legit name/address just his clan name.

So I google'd the address and found postings in guestbooks etc. Kept digging further until I turned it to his "legit" icq/msn/aim stuff. Most people still don't post their address in instant messaging details but I had his name and general area where he lived. Then its off to www.whitepages.com or wherever you want. Get their home address and phone.

Make a call from a phone booth. Breath rampantly in the phone and say "you are sooooooo pwned"
🙂
