Ya, I screwed up. Japan got it today. Anyone planning on getting it? It looks like a lot of fun.

How is the original? It looks cool but it seems pretty rare and it would have to be really awesome for me to pay the going prices I'm seeing for it. Also is the 360 port crap? It seems to sell for less than the PS3 version. I ask since I just picked up Bayonetta on the 360 and it's more expensive than the PS3 version on the used market since the 360 version is pretty stellar while the PS3 port of Bayonetta is horrible.

I've always heard a lot of good things about it. The remarks are usually that it's not perfect, but it's a good game overall. Unfortunately, I don't think it sold well, which is why it's harder to find, and it probably lacks a digital release, which usually pushes up resale value. Now, I'd tell you my thoughts on it, but I never got around to playing it. In fact, my PS3 copy is still brand new in the shrink wrap! ( I actually have quite a few games that have never been opened.)

the trophy is for trying actually not succeeding - its called "what are you doing" or something

you can also just blow the skirt off and run around with DAT ASS

I looked up some reviews yesterday and Gamespot gave it a 5/10, saying the last 5 hours were great but that the first 25 were boring. Now I'm thinking I probably won't buy it. I thought the sequel was pretty cool in the demo. Not enough to pay full price, but I'll probably snag the second when I see it for $20 somewhere.

Crap, I forgot there will be a PC version, so I'll pick it up for even less than $20 on a Steam sale sometime.

I loved Nier on PS3. the game world felt a little dead at time and there wasn't a lot of crap going on around you but it was very cool and very interesting. This new one looks cool.

Played Nier: Automata on PC and got maybe 16 endings (some of them don't even count as endings and may as well be a joke). There seems to be two main endings and either of them could be taken as the canon one for the story.

Overall the game is pretty good with a really well done story. I hated certain gameplay sequences with a specific character but beyond that it was solid. I thought the graphics could have been better but that's really a minor complaint.
