Ah good catch...saw 980 and thought it said Ti. Still not a bad showing with the 290X ahead of the 980, 480, and 1060 and the 390X would sit even higher.

hmm so R9 290 is faster than RX 480! in many benchmarks , RX 470 matches R9 290 or 390.
