The other day I was downloading music and movies from itunes, at one point it wouldn't allow new qeued files to Download, it would say server can download files. So the two that were downloading finished and the rest wouldnt. Tried to get on the Internet Via Firefox and no luck. Rebooted and no luck either. The nic cards built into the board light up, but no connection to the net.

I flopped the cables, tried different ports on the switch and still no luck. I plugged my laptop into the port for my gaming box (the one with issues) and my laptop still will connect to the net. So i ruled out that the switch might be bad.

Here is the kicker, I can still do stuff on the lan, but can get on the net........WTF

Internet setup:
Cable modem------->Firewall---->Switch---->all the computers.

Mobo:
Asus Crosshair
Using the dual Nic's onboard.

Do you think it might be the onboard NIC problem?
Itunes locking down the net on my system?

Try to reset your connection settings in your control panel and set them up from scratch...
Other than that, it seems like a hardware problem is present... try to update the drivers for the network cards...

I was using static, so i switched to DHCP and tried that way and no luck.........Now it sounds like a virus/spware hijacked my system.

Winsock Fix might solve this issue in the future.

As for the actual cause. No idea.
