My fiance and her friends are going to stay at the Blakemore hotel in London next week. Just a name to throw out there...

I spent a while in one while I attended school in Germany.

Eeek, $160ish a night is more than i was lookin to spend. That does seem like one sweet hotel though. Anything more reasonable?

They Bayswater Inn is probably a lot cheaper. As it turned out, my family was to stay there Easter week, and when we got there, they said the rooms were being painted and the painters didn't finish in time, so we couldn't stay there. They apologized for the inconvenience and told us that they had booked us for the week at another hotel for no extra charge and would call a taxi to take us there.
Great...they're going to put us up in some craphole.
When we got into the taxi, we asked him where we were going and he said "The Grosvenor." We said "Is it nice?" He said "It's beautiful."
We pulled up to the marble steps of the Grosvenor and we realized we were the recipients of a very nice free upgrade. :D

The Bayswater Inn looked pretty decent, though.

When I went to London for 3 days I stayed in the Kensington Moat House hotel. Its about a block from the kensington station. Very nice hotel and not too expensive.

We stayed at a place called Scancourt hotel. The place is nice enough for someone who doesn't have a lot of money and just needs a place to stay without many ammenities. We were gone for 15 hours a day, so we figured why spend the extra money on a hotel that we won't even be staying in......

I think we paid about 45-50pounds a night (one of the cheapest places we found, that were decent looking). The cost might not be the same now as it was when we visited London. We vacationed there during rainy season......(March).

Again, this is a basic hotel. Nothing fancy. Don't expect it to look like a high-end hotel......
