Nice shot

So what was so good about the shot? I'm not saying it was an easy shot, but the buck had its side turned to the hunter and was stationary.

If you look closer, it was hit straight in the heart and the blood drained out rather quickly.

Aah, I'm surprised the buck held out for that long after being hit in the heart.

Yet the buck didn't die fast enough. Next time the hunter should go for a better kill shot just in case. Aren't hunters suppose to kill quick to minimize the suffering of the animal?

no, if you do that you devalue the deer, one shot, one kill. they let the animal bleed to death and follow the blood squirts, which you can see when he begins to run.

actually that was a good shot. Though i have seen them drop where i hit htem. you should try to hit both lungs and heart. sometimes they were drop pretty close where they are hit.

this one went a few yards then died. pretty darn good actually

Every time I read the title of this thread it makes me think of that song about the Pennsylvania politician that shot himself on live TV.

wow, i just saw that again. i didn't realize the blood just pouring out like a spout from the buck's side. i thought it was his hind leg.
