I just got that cpu and when i tried to overclocked it with the 12.5 multiplier
when i boot up it show as a 1300MHz ?????? 🙂
Nice !!! but whats going on?
I'm using the special purpose overclocking bios.

Anyone seen this?

I get the same thing on my EPoX 8KTA3, the 12.5 multiplier = a multiplier of 13(100 x 12.5 = 1300). I wonder if it's a chipset bug. . .but it's a nice bug to have!🙂

Are the cpu's you have 1.2 or 1.1 T-birds ? Some of the 1.2 Gb T-birds have 1.3 cores, according to posts here and there these are red and do exactly that, when the multiplier is set at 12.5 they add about 5 fsb to get to 1.3 GHz. Probably an AMD little trick to avoid increasing the multiplier. The 1.3 T-birds are not out yet so it is probably a nice way to test the manufacturing process and maybe start stocking up the 'good' cpu's while relegating the 'bad' ones to 1.2, although this is speculation. The same may be occuring with some 1.1 T-birds. Any T-bird lower than 1.1 GHz shouldn't have the ability to do the above.

I have a 1.1 Ghz
This is good 🙂
I've check the cpu with Cpu-z (CPUID software)

AMD Thunderbird
Family 6 Model 4
Core Stepping A4
Cpu freq. 1299.4
Clock Multiplier 12.5
FSB 104 MHz (DDR)
Original CPU/FSB Clocks 1250/100 (DDR)

If you wanna check if you have the same settings here the link to the soft CPU-Z
