Nice, portable, word processing, internet browsing, wireless. laptop

im familar with Windows, but wouldnt mind going mac if it was better. anyways.

i need wireless, lightweight, good screen usable outdoors, and a good keyboard. decent HD for music, apps, documents etc.

will be used while at school outdoors, indoors, everything.

any suggestions?

not looking for the most expensive thing ever.

i also will get student discount on any one i purchase assuming that is possible.
 
While I love my MBP, it sounds like in this case you wouldn't need it. Just get a cheap Dell or Acer and be done with it. If you need a laptop to replace a desktop (but don't want a true "desktop replacement" notebook) or for business reasons, I'd recommend a MacBookPro or Lenovo T60 (or T43/T42). But if you're just going to be using it for wireless surfing and the occasional paper, then there's no need to drop $2K+ on a Lenovo or MBP (unless you really want to).
