Nice Photos: Europe Bathed in Snow

That's not even close to "bathed" in snow. Come back to me after you have seen 2 feet drop in 24 hours and then we'll talk.

You're what we call a one upper

Back to the thread, nice pictures, wish I could visit some of those places.

Unique pics ... the other poster is an idiot if he thinks many of those locales routinely receive 2 feet in 24 hours.

He wasn't saying the other places get 2 feet of snow in 24 hours, he was just commenting how little they get compared to his home in the north pole.

I don't get any of these responses.

Does Europe generally not get that much snow? That would shock me if that's the case.

Whenever my hometown gets snow (Toledo, Ohio for those looking on a map), it tends to be somewhere between 4 and 12 inches at a time, with random dustings of somewhere up to 2" rather frequent in the more regular winter seasons, some years different - like this year getting 3 ice storms in a month, dumping more ice than the city generally receives in a few years combined.

Snow is just so normal to me, that it doesn't mean much to me any more other than having to watch my acceleration on the road and watching out for morons, and every now and then just seeing a picturesque scene straight out of winter wonderland depiction that just makes me appreciate winter a little more, making me momentarily forget how much I tend to hate it. 🙂

Cool pics. I like the one with the flamingos. Something about flamingos and snow just doesn't seem right.
