Nice parks to take a picnic at in the GTA?

A friend and I are going for a picnic today somewhere in the city of Toronto. She's relatively new to the city and living just outside the city myself, I've never visited with the intent on picnicing. So, I'm wondering if some of the Torontonians would be able to help me out.

Can you guys tell me some nice parks in Toronto, as well as the nearest major intersection and the closest TTC subway stop to that park. I know of High Park, and although that would be a fitting title for a park we picnic at today, I'd like to know what our other options are.
