Nice OC-guide for C2D and quad core Intel processors ...

"There are other temp monitoring programs and other stress testing programs too. These are what I recommend.... I'll only mention one other by name: TAT (thermal analysis tool). It's made by Intel and I don't care what anyone else out there thinks: it was NOT designed to read the coretemps of a C2D chip. "

That is wrong, the PentiumM and C2D chipsets use the same sensor. The only Intel CPU that does not is P4.

You can see for yourself if you like, run all CPU monitoring temp software out there, and they all are within same temp. I run TaT exclusively on my O/C C2D and temps are the same as other software out there.

So if you "don't care what anyone else out there thinks" you are just being hard headed.

Interesting thread, thanks Petrus 🙂

However he is wrong about one thing (at least for my mbrd) ,I compared speedfan 4.32 to RM & they both show almost exactly the same temperature.
