Nice looking car....the new VW Polo

Hmm, I can't see calling this car 'nice looking'. It'd be like calling a Focus or Echo nice looking.

Considering the resounding success of that trio (and the Suzuki Swift, Daewoo Lanos et. al) VW should really bring the Lupo over here!

It's interesting to browse edmunds.co.uk and look at all the cars offered in Europe that we never see. Virtually every manufacturer has a small hatchback or three. Kinda sucks because we miss out on all the little GTI pocket rockets but Americans and Europeans just have different needs when it comes to cars.

Nothing, I guess, it's just not a car that I would call nice looking. They don't exactly catch my eye when I'm on the road.

absolutly not, the A2 has a unique all alumininum construction, it is an incredible car! I am probaly going to get one for a daily driver (I have a scary as hell TVR Tuscan right now)

Also... I repeat: The Mini does not compete with the Polo. It competes with the Golf.

guys gotta remember, that this car is marketed for those countries where gas is like $4/gallon.. Looks pretty good for an econo box, drop a vr5 or a 1.8T in there and 200hp would make it a pocket rocket hehe.

This is an European car, pretty sure you won't see it in the United States.

Actually, the Renault Clio V6 I linked to is the same size as the Polo is, but is has a 230bhp V6 engine . You got your pocket-rocket right there !
