nice little firebird trick if you didnt know

I dont know if you need the mouse gestures extension but if you

click a link with the middle mouse button than automatically opens it in a new tab

i can't believe i didnt know this till now and and have been using mozilla/firebird for over a year


if you already knew this than i am a noob and sorry for wasting your time

You don't need mouse gestures enabled. If you click on an open tab with the middle mouse button, it will close it, and if you click on empty space in the tab bar with the middle mouse button it will restore the last-closed tab.

try this, if you hold down right mouse button and click left mouse button it takes you to previous page

and

if you hold down left mouse button and click right button it takes you to previous page 😉
 
The middle click feature is the reason I use firebird instead of opera 😉

It's incredible how much it speeds up your browsing...

it does not do this for me.

also I have the middle button set to "back" so the middle clicking of a link does not work for me.
