I have been on a contract with the company I work for since June 2000. That contract recently went into a hold status so I have been cooling my heels at corporate looking for another contract. Well they just sent me this morning a notice regarding an unfilled positon. The work location is Iraq. :| So I could ultimately be faced with the decision of continuing to make car and mortgage payments and go to Iraq or join the unemployment line. Oh well life is never boring I guess.

Considering the bombers have shifted their attacks from military to civilian targets lately, the pay had better be huge. If I had a family I wouldn't go.

Hope you're being paid $150k+. that's the going rate that haliburton employees are billed at

what type of work would you be doing and for how long?

It's certainly a good way of not having a boring old life like everyone else, eh?

It's certaining a good way of not getting old, period :p (mortars, snipers, suicide bombers)

and obviously get a gun and body armor if you go.

i would suggest this GUN. And get the 20 round clip that's available to NATO soldiers

with these bullets: SS190 ammo
They are armor piercers that can penetrate kevlar with titanium plating at 100m

That's for the record you musn't forget you are in a AT forums man...conspiracies are bound to develop  One example, you personally might not be affiliated with Halliburton, but the company which has made a contract with you at some time (some form) had business contract with Haliburton. Your intended contract might have some work that involves other Haliburton activities. :p

Its like saying, I don't have any relationship with air, yes I breath it and live off it, but for the record am I not associated with air. ;)
