Ordered my wife a Nexus 7 32gb last Sunday,tracking info had it scheduled for delivery on 01/02/13 but I checked the tracking# again this morning, "out for delivery", awesome! 4 days early!, now I get to help my wife set it up this long weekend and she finally gets out of tablet hell (Coby Kyros MID7022) LOL..

Nope, the standard shipping was only $1.99 but they got it to UPS so fast UPS was able to deliver it early..

Are you going to sue for emotional distress? Getting a delivery early can be very traumatic, you can make millions.

Don't get too excited. I had a package "out for delivery" and when it didn't show and I called UPS, I was told (and I shit you not) that "the driver could not find it on the truck." Seriously? They load their own trucks. Anyhoo, took two more days before I got it.
Yea, it's my last normal weekend coming up for awhile, we are entering overtime season, I'll be lucky to get Sunday off..
Believe it or not it was one of the first below $200 capacitive-touch one's out there but it's now over 2 yrs old, slow, reboots to amuse itself, and not a single firmware update offered by Coby, ever

You paid to have it scheduled for delivery on 01/02/13 and they gave it to you 4 days early? You should call them up and demand a refund; that is not the service you paid for.

I had it worse with FedEx these past two weeks, first delivery attempt on the 17th, I wasn't there so fine. Next attempt wasn't made until the 20th, I was there all day. Driver claims gate was closed (it wasn't). It was then sent back to the regional facility (after only 2 "attempted" deliveries). By the way, I am getting no door notices on any of these days. I call up the office and get them to stop sending it back. Next time it was out for delivery was Monday the 24th, but due to an exception he didn't deliver it, again on the 26th, weather exception. Finally on the 27th he manages to deliver the package (with 2 door notices from the previous days posted on the outside of the box). 2 weeks waiting around until 6:00 (it was a business) almost every day for a package that wouldn't come was a pain in the ass.
Well I feared it would take that long due to the holiday rush and the original tracking info had that date as scheduled but I guess we lucked out!..
Yeah they have a big warehouse operation in Jersey too, so I can sometimes order something in the afternoon, standard shipping, and if it is in the NJ warehouse I'll get it the next day.

Same. I'm in Connecticut and most computer places are on the west coast, so an order often takes 5 days or more to get here. When NewEgg has it in the Jersey warehouse I always get it next day. That's a big difference.
And you don't have to pay sales tax on it because you're not actually in NJ. Win!

Actually you're supposed to pay sales tax on any out of state internet purchases when you do your state income tax return. At least in NY anyway.
