Nice free software download

I know free software is available everywhere, but I think this is a 'hot deal' simply because of what it does. I have looked for some time for a better way to search my IE favorites...going thru them by hand is a horror. This site has several free programs on this page:

The program that searches IE favorites is FavSearch 1.5.

You can just search "files or folders" and choose the favorites folder (e.g. C:\Favorites).

Or, you could create a shortcut to the favorites folder on your desktop. Right clicking the shortcut gives you the option of searching it (in Win2k anyway. I don't recall what happens in win98)

Not to say there's no use for the program you're suggesting. It might do it faster (built in Windows file search is much slower than many 3rd party products).

The program puts an icon on the IE toolbar....pretty handy. I've used the explorer search like you suggested, but it's clearly the hard war around. As much as MicroSoft likes to duplicate good ideas, I can't believe they've never taken care of this one.
