Outpost.com has these nice sony floor standing speakers for $99+ s/h... sh was $29.62 for me. not to shabby for a home entertainment system for 3 way speakers.

Outpost also has the matching sony subwoofer as well for $99.

The sony satellites are only $29.


If you want the complete surround system in one package they have the audio source system for $99 and it gets you everything.


Computergeeks has these acoustic research floor speakers for $49 each. This has been posted elsewhere, and they went up $10 since yesterday unfortunately. bensbargains has some links to reviews about these and they've all been good.

These are great for anyone wanting to put together a decent and very inexpensive sound system.

actually, when AR was owned by teledyne, they made some very nice speakers. now, im not so sure about their sound.

Actually AR makes decent speakers. My center channel and sub are both AR.

But...AR is now Advent and vice-versa. They are decent low-end speakers, that's all. Nothing awful, but a decent sound for the buck.

I've got a set of AR S50's from 3 years ago...great speakers (as long as you have a sub) to go with it. AR is pretty good stuff.
