My family is coming down from MI for Xmas this year and they want to go to some really nice church for Xmas eve. I, not being Christian, haven't really attended any church around here. Anyone know of a really nice church/cathedral with a good choir that I can take them too? I don't mind drive 30+ miles to get there.

What about National Cathedral? Certainly the most impressive piece of christian architecture in the area?

def. National Cathedral in DC.

IMO, it's the second most impressive piece of christian architecture on the east coast (behind St. Patrick's)

That's a no-brainer - I'm a lifelong agnostic, but I've always wanted to try attending the midnight mass there.

do you have a preferred domination?

national cathedral is definitely the ultimate but I'm guessing you probably need to arrive many hours ahead of time to get in, on christmas eve..

well.. maybe not... you have to have tickets. here are the instructions to apply.

For some reason, I thought this was another HL2 thread... The keywords being "cathedral" and "nova" (prospekt)
