Nice Beer, good beer, light beer!

well, I've went out and bought a six pack of some sam adams light to see if it's better than the crappy Amstel I just finished off. It's not bad, actually better IMO than regular Sam Adams. It has a nice amber color and has a decent head on it when poured. It's not as carbonated as Amstel Light and has a slight hops taste that's barely noticeable. It goes down easy and still tastes like a beer. A lot of light beers taste watery but this one is different.
Of course I had to compare it with a couple of test subjects. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best and 1 the worst, Amstel rated a 3, Sam Adams Light rated a 6, and the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was an 8.5. I got the SN from a friend who brought over a six pack. Now that's a good beer.

Note: I didn't drink all of those beers in one sitting. I had what was left of the Sierra Nevada yesterday, and still have a couple Amstels and 5 of the Sam Adams left. I'm not an alcho...hic...alco...hic...I'm not a drunk!

I've just started drinking Leinenkugel's Big Butt Doppelbock. Very tasty. This is exactly how beer should taste.
I don't drink light beer unless it's free.

I tried, but could never get into beer. I'm a hard alcohol drinker. Now if say, homebrewerdude were to move to nyc & Zim offered to host a tasting party. We could change that. 🙂

How much $$ is this Sam Adam's that you speak of?

not any more expensive than other good beers. It's more expensive than Bud and Coors but it's better so it makes up for it. Gonna have to get some more for tommorrow's game where you'll see the CAROLINA PANTHERS beat up the atlanta falcons in a truly beat-down fashion!

Kinda feels weird drinking this beer seeing as how it's a Boston made beer. And of course those wiley Patriots beat down my beloved panthers last year. Hmmm...may have to switch to a local beer for this game...

Sierra Nevada rocks

Indeed! If I were not going for some Carolina Pale Ale tommorrow, I'd be getting some more of this.
I've got some Sierra Nevada sitting in my fridge. I should have one.

edit: I opted for a Summit Extra Pale Ale instead.
