I'd been using Gibson Les Paul 9's on my Les Paul for a while, switched to Ernie Ball slinky 10's, and now I just put on a set of D'Addario 10-46's. So far, the D'Addario's are the best.

What do you all use/like?

anyhow, i use Martin SP Phosphor Bronze Custom Light strings on my Takamine G330S.

Not bad, but not spectacular.

i dunno much about strings, so I dunno what would be best for the guitar i have

mmm mmm, i love to run my finger up and down some nice fresh smooth... strings. ;)

On my standard guitars, I play D'Addirios, lite top/ heavy bottom, 10-52.
On my detuned guitars, I play lite top/heavy bottom same as above, but the thickest string is a .60, a thin bass string. Anything thinner and my aggressive picking style makes it constantly bend sharp.

I don't know, but a new set usually makes so much of a difference because I hardly ever change them. The Elixir acoustic strings I had sounded pretty good to me and were nice and smooth, but are expensive.
