It has been brought to our attention that there is a certain malicious e-mail being distributed on the Internet. This e-mail suggests the existence of a recall of the ABIT BD7-RAID motherboard by someone by the name "Steven Tyler" who claims to be an ABIT employee. Here's the message:

Dear valued customer, we were recently notified of your purchase of an Abit BD-7 RAID motherboard. Unfortunately the Abit BD-7 RAID motherboard in under recall for an abnormal rate of inflammability. Please DO NOT connect to the Abit BD-7 RAID to a power source of any kind as injury and or death may result.
Please contact the vendor from which you purchased the Abit BD-7 RAID motherboard and obtain an RMA number to return this item.

1. The existence of any sort of recall is ABSOLUTELY AND COMPLETELY FALSE.
2. There is NO EMPLOYEE NAMED STEVEN TYLER working for ABIT, either presently or in the past.
3. There is NO SUCH THING as a "RecallSspecialist"
4. The domain the e-mail purported to originate from (abit.com) is NOT AN OFFICIAL ABIT WEBSITE.
We would like to tell our valued customers that news of this nature will be posted on ABIT's official website first. In the meantime, legal actions will be taken against the perpetrators of this false rumor</TD></TR></TABLE>
