NIC

Hello everyone! I had to do some maintanence in the ol' PC today and I moved the NIC to a different slot. I had a static IP pointing to that NIC and now I can not obtain an IP address.

Any ideas why the NIC will not work in the new slot. The NIC is installed correctly and the green light is on.

Well...which one is it? If you had a Static IP on that NIC, then you would assign the address statically (manually). If you want it to obtain an IP address automatically, you will need it to get an Address from a DHCP server, or APIPA.
