hey kids, gonna get me a pcmcia nic for my lappy. but holly tuna fish! there are a lot to chose from. i don't know much about them, will NOT be using it much, and don't know if the difference between a 32 bit and 16 bit 10/100 card will make a difference to me. There are like 10 i see for between $40-$50. Brands like Linksys, Netgear, D-Link etc. Can someone PLEASE tell me about a card they have and like or had good luck with. Anything I should look for or make sure it doesn't have etc.??? Thanks all,
j

3com 10/100 lan PC Card. Model 3ccfe574bt. Great card, 32 bit. Most if not all recent laptops use pc card (32bit) and stopped calling them pcmcia a long time ago. Its now called card bus which is 32 bit. Which just means you cant use in dos, win31 and such.

I would go for the 3com card too. It will probably cost you a bit but it's worth it. I've had Linksys and 3com and I had problems with the linksys but the 3com is still working fine.
