NIC, Intel or 3com?

I am building a new computer, and I have three NIC's and can't decide which one to use. I have a 3com Fast Etherlink XL 10/100 TX (3c905-TX), an Intel InBusiness 10/100 PCI Network Adapter, and an Intel PRO 10/100 Management Adapter. From what I have read the Intel Pro is better than the InBusiness, so I guess I'm down to either the Intel Pro or the 3com.. Any advice/suggestions?

Unless you are looking for some specific features, I doubt you can go wrong with either of the two. Although I have yet to verify this, I read here a long while ago that 3Coms usually have an Intel controller.

they're both great nic's. intel pro is probably a little higher end than that specific 3com, but the 3c905's are really great NIC's. i'd say compare price, and go with whichever one fits your budget better.

I can't remember where I read this, but I believe the Intel Pro has one of the lowest CPU utilizations so I would go with that one.

I agree with the CPU usage of those Intel chips: Went from a cheap Realtek based card to a compaq dual NIC with intel on board... it barely uses one third of the CPU that the Realtek needed
