new jersey devils vs. tampa bay lightning

I would like to see philly vs nj for a rematch of the 2000 conference finals. payback time for the broad street bullies. Looking good in the rout last night.
 
After seeing the first round, we know that anything can happen. Having said that...

Stars, Wild, Lightning, Sens.
 
Since I was 50% in the first round (probably the easiest round to predict), I am not sure my picks are worth anything.

Anyway here they are:

Ottawa over Philly in 6
NJ over Tampa Bay in 5

Dallas over Anaheim in 6
Minnesota over Vancouver in 7

Ottawa over Philly in 6: The Senators are the most complete team in the East. Unless Chechmanek pulls a Giguire-esque performance, the Flyers are just too beat up to take the Sens.

Jersey over Tampa in 5: It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see how outmatched the Lightening are. Pretty much at every position except (arguably) the goaltender.

Dallas over Anaheim in 6: Giggy just about single-handedly took out the Wings. Does he have another miracle series in him? I think Dallas will be better prepared for the possibility of a hot goalie. And I'm not sure if the time off will help or hinder the Ducklings.

Minnesota over Vancouver in 6: Here's your "upset special". The Wild play a perfect team game, and the shallow Canucks won't keep up. Bertuzzi can bang and whine all he wants, but the Wild won't waver.
 
bah... people actually think philadelphia has a chance. thats funny. i laughed.

the cup is coming home to Canada one way or another this year.

Dal/Min - Phi/NJ

Dal vs Phi for the cup with Philly winning.
My initial call was Col vs Philly and I thought that whoever won the Wings/Avs series would take the cup, that didn't pan out to well, so now I begrudgingly switch my cheering to the east with Philly. And I would cheer for Min if they hadn't been the ones to take out the Abs.
