sounds like a Grade A moron
He took them out because the Canadian dollar was weak during the time they left. Players were getting paid in US dollars while the teams were generating their revenue with Canadian dollars. It didn't work out well for Quebec and Winnipeg.

Moving them to the south non-traditional markets was dumb though.

Man, it looks like a mess downtown. I can't believe a relatively small number of douchenozzles are responsible for it.

For the record, Lu didn't play poorly at all. The first goal he just had no chance on, the second one he made a great save but couldn't make the second, and the third... well he has to be stronger, but getting knocked like that... Canuck fans are used to that kind of goal going in unfortunately.

The killer this series was the lack of offense. In all other series, the Canucks had at least one line who made the other team look bad. Not so in this series. I'll continue to hate Thomas for a few days, but that'll settle and he'll be very deserving. Glad the crowd cheered Lucic too. Bettman is always hated so that's why the boo birds came out.

Glad I stayed home for this one. Stupid idiots rioting.

I called it 😛

However a few douchenozzles is all it ever takes. It's crowd psychology 101.

And the police are acting from a playbook written after the 94 riots and trying not to repeat some of the mistakes they made back then. They have been trying not to use force whenever possible. At the beginning this made things better than in 94. I think at this point though, now that they have cleared the big crowds it's time for them to go in hard.

That was the shittiest ref'd game I've ever seen.

Not from a Canucks or Bruins perspective with one sided calls, but as an overall job. Penalties that should be called weren't, then a few that were iffy were. I know they want them to play but damn.

My analysis:

When you saw Thomas make a save there was at least one Bruins player surrounding him ready to make that clear if the save went off his pad. Vancouver didn't do that. Just seemed like the D left Luongo out to dry too many times. So many times when Vancouver would put pressure on Thomas, he would make a save and a Bruins defenseman would gather the puck and start it up the center of the ice.

And what got me was that the Canucks were SO disciplined on the boards, that they completely failed keeping the center of the ice theirs. I would have thought that Vancouver would almost adopt a neutral ice defense to combat this.

Their lack of offense hurt, but the bench depth is what did them in. Relying on the Sedin's, Burrows and Kessler for your offense is a recipe for disaster.

If that were Detroit rioting it would be indicative that the city was piss hole filled with worthless individuals.

By the way, are either of these teams going to over go an overhaul as far as cap space is concerned? Will the Canucks be able to keep Bieska if Detroit offers Rafalski money?

Hey, fellow Detroiter here (think about user name HT Wing Nut)... 😛

I was thinking the same thing. If it were Detroit, it would be how horrible and low class Detroit is, yadda.

Was so happy to see Boston win though. They were my second choice, ok, third after Chicago, to win if the Wings didn't advance.

On the radio they said there was looting as well in Vancouver. Dam.

Also, TT is only the 2nd American to win the Conn Smythe. Awesome.

As a Canadian, I am ashamed. I watched as Vancouver destroyed its downtown in 1994, and now they've done it again.

What a pathetic showing by the Canucks, their fans, and even their owner. When your owner is cussing out reporters you know the class starts at the top. At least the Sedin sisters actually went out to take the pounding from the media, when every other player sat in the locker rooms and pouted.

As a lifelong hockey fan, that is the worst game 7 I've ever seen by any team. If I was unaware, there is no way I would think thats a Stanley cup final game. Looked like every game in Boston this series, completely unwatchable. What a waste!

Crappy to see the usual sports riot after the last game, but as a very, very casual sports fan I greatly enjoyed the NHL playoffs this year.

And Thomas is one class act. It's refreshing to see a big time sports guy actually think before he speaks and not be 100% ego driven or spewing cliches.
