Last I heard they are really close to signing a deal.
They got screwed (the player) from what I've heard.
If they had taken the offer back in Feb, they would've made out better.

yeah, last I heard they were down to a cap of $36 Million.

What will they ever do to feed their kids?

I'm just laughing at the stupid NHLPA considering the owners were going to give them 42 in February but the players turned THAT down.

The players didn't expect the owners to be so persistent. But the league has been losing money, this should be a change for the better.

The lockout is basically over. They have agreed on a salary cap system, the biggest hurdle. They have been meeting several days a week. This will be done by July 1.

Now that there's gonna be a decent cap in place, maybe ticket prices will start to come down a little... or at least not keep rising.

They most certainly won't rise. They need to keep fans. If they were smart, they would use the system MLB uses for ticket prices: cheaper prices for bad games, regular/higher prices for good games. except they should just lower prices for bad games for this season, keep fans coming back.
