Okay, so I layed out a truckload of cash and bought a PS/2 with all the fixings and a copy of NHL 2002. Now, this game is seriously bad@ass. I have 3 roommates, and we hookup the multitap and play until 4-5am 3 or 4 nights a week. It's a wicked game, and is probably the best $30 I've spent this year.

That said, I have an issue. I cannot score. I can defend like a mofo, I can pass the puck around, and I can play with the goalie and pull shutouts consistently. Problem is that my scoring potential seems to suck. I have found that using "Big Shooters" is the easiest, cuz you just get a bit past the blue line, hold down the shoot button, and it may go in. This is okay, but ...

There are these things called "Snipers" and as far as I can tell, they are useless. They're supposed to do wrist shots from in close, but they *NEVER* go in. Thus, I am calling upon the powers of ATOT to inform me of how to score goals in NHL2002. Is deke the answer? The automatic one or the manual one? Is the big shooter thing the only way to go?

Help!

i don't have a sure method of scoring but i always aim left or right and use wrist shots. you can score by shooting from the center area of the rink as you skate towards the goalie. and i have it set on manual aim. how bout play a couple games with the computer on an easy setting when your roommates are gone? get the hang of scoring and then beat your roommates when they come home.
