Whenever I play NHL 06 through the internet, I first start to get some minor lag (stuttering) at the beginning of the game, and it worsens progressively until it turns into long 5 second pauses, and then finally at about 6-7 minutes into the game, the connection says "connection lost". This happens consistently with every game I play, no matter who it's with or who hosts.
I remember back in the NHL 2004 days, I would get lag when playing using the "peer to peer" network mode, but it would be flawless in the "client-server" mode. Unfortunately in this year's game they've taken the client-server mode out (for some inexplicable reason).
Further information... I have a computer that's more than fast enough for the game, a wireless G connection to a linksys WRT54GC on a cable connection. The connection typically has 300Kb/s download, 60Kb/s upload, so that shouldn't be an issue. When I play Counter-Strike (or any other client-server modelled game for that matter) the connection is flawless and never has a hiccup.
Does anyone have any idea for a solution? Thanks for your time.
