I'm wondering if I should get it for my GameCube or my PC. I only have a GF2 in the PC, so that's no good. :(

unfortunately, the further you get, the uglier your ride has to look to get those ratings up there. I'm at a 9.12 with the wide body kit... not liking it too much. Spinners don't help either.

Well, I thought this thread would turn dead (since its a game, and the possiblities are limited), but it seems like the cars are looking pretty nice so far. Here are the two I played:

'86 Toyota Corolla Sprinter Trueno

'05 Ford Mustang GT

I got the Mustang because I thought the '05 model just looked so nice; the way a Mustang is supposed to look, not that crap they had in the '90s. And, the engine sound for it is really nice in NFSU2. Plus, in the game, the bulky-ass Mustang drifts like a dream.

I've really been using the Corolla for Circuits/Sprints/StreetX/Drift game modes and the Mustang for Drift/Drag (since it has better top speed), but, I feel that drag really requires acceleration, as well, so I plan to get a WRX for the next sponser slot, that or an RX7, and then save the other two slots for the always-needed Skyline, and maybe a H2.

I don't have any good 'action' shots. But here:

Corolla upending some Civic

Back when you didn't have to have so many stickers. I added mostly racing-type stickers, to keep that professional 'race-car' type look. The vinyl is the least retarded looking one I could find. I like how my Mustang is clean, with only that 'Neuspeed' tag (even though Neuspeed doesn't actually make Ford parts, or Mustang parts).

OT, but how does this game compare to the original NFS Underground? I picked it up a few days ago in the bargain bin, and I'm really suprised how well I like it compared to the crap known as NFS Hot Pursuit 2

NFSU is pretty good. NFSU2 just has more parts and more cars, and the ability for you to own more than one car at the same time; that's about the only major evolution (some people say the cities nice, yeah, it makes you feel more like your own 'person' in the game, but its almost only useful as a device to get from race to race)

Oh, and some people say this game looks better. I personally think it looks good enough.

90% more rice, worse car selection (IMO) - putting in the SUVs and not having the SRT4/S2000?

Worse car selection? It's practically the same car selection. Ok, yeah, I would trade in the Navigator for the S2000, but who can resist the temptation of the 2005 MUSTANG GT!!!!!

Yeah, ok.

Some nice looking rides. I'm just starting to customize mine a bit. Unfortunately it won't be easy for me to post a shot since I have the XBox version. I guess I could plug it in to my TV capture card on my PC and take a cap but...nahh...I might take a digicam pic of it for the heck of it.

I've got RBR, GTR, Grand Prix 4, Grand Prix Legends, a load of proper simulations, and I still enjoy this, it makes a refreshing change :)

Anyone has the PS2 version of this game? Would like to compare its graphics and controls compared to Burnout 3. Thanks :)

I can get to a level 10 car without ricing it...
use the hidden mods like hydrolics and trunk and hood neons and a good looking body kit...
i use regular 20 inch OZ racing wheels and a mild wing...
and a pretty neat paint job/vinal combo i found that really makes my cars different and pretty classy..
black gloss with kinda a red/orange/yellow splash paint... looks way better than it sounds.. ill try to get some screens up..

I have pics of all my rides at home, I'll have to post up when I return. what I have found difficult is building a tasteful ride that doesn't use all the typical rice crap
