Ok so I'm on game like 37/111 and the thing has hard frozen 5 times in a row where I had to restart the computer w/ the restart button!! This has never happened before. I also tried updating my catalyst drivers but to no luck do they help :(. I also toned the rez to 800x600 but samething...freezes. Could it be over heating or something? Cause usually when it freezes when you play games it's game related right? This is the first time this has ever happened with my setup and I've been playing on it for 2.5 yrs. The game just freezes like the picture to! Any help would be greatly appreciated . Oh btw, I tried playing CS again and it doesn't freeze...

I was thinking over heating, over heating of the GPU maybe eh? I've cleaned it maybe a year ago. The computer is also elevated off the ground by some hanging thing but yeah there's probably dust in there anyways. NFSU is a lot more gfx intensive than CS and JK then I guess, as the game gets faster the card starts lugging :(.

So dust probably huh...

I didn't have any problems when I was playing the game with my gf3, but when I turned on the special lighting effects it wouldn't run... what levels of detail and whatnot do you have?

What a bout CPU overheating? My Cpu gets to it's max temps with this game (44C full load). I know in that temps mine won't freeze but I have a very nice cooling setup. Have a look at MBM and see what temps you reach.
