Hey Guys,

I would like to take advantage of the Steam sale going on right now for either one of these games. I would like to buy a copy for a friend so we can race online together. Would either one of these games let me do that?

I would like to have a private 1 vs. 1 racing match with our own cars.

Yes, Shift 2 has online multiplayer. I believe you have to log into your EA account in order to use it.

Haven't played Shift 1, but I imagine it has online capabilities too.
