NFS:MW What cars did you buy in order

I just started, and beat the #15 VW guy. I didnt get the pinkslip with my 2 choices, so I am still driiving my asstastic cobalt. I see when I beat the next guy, I can get an eclipse so I am trying to decide if I want to save for the car or put a little more into the cobalt.

Also, when you buy a new car, do you get an opportunity to sell the old one?

I bought a Golf I think, upgraded as much as I could, then I won an RX8 and upgraded that as much as I could until I got an RX7, then used that until I beat #1

Yes you can sell your old car from your safe house after buying a new one. I believe you only get half the money a new stock one costs. You don't get any extra money for parts you've added, etc.

I believe this is the order in which I acquired the cars I've used. I've still got the latter three.
Fiat Punto > Mitsu Eclipse > Toyota Supra > Porsche Cayman S > Viper SRT 10 > Porsche 911 turbo S

Think I'm #4 on the blacklist, I haven't been playing the game much lately.

I got like 5 pinkslips in a row... I thought they purposely made it easy... but anyway... the ones I ended up purchasing from the shop were the Gallardo, Corvette and Porsche Carrera GT. I personally wouldn't waste money upgrading at such an early stage.

Cool, Ill probibly grab the eclipse then. Too bad there wasnt a way to save right before you chose your markers, that way if you didnt get it you could reload the save and try again without having to redo the races

the RX-8 is probably the best of the early cars

the carrera GT fully upgraded is the best car though

on the first race of the final blacklist, i beat RAZOR by over 1000 km (speedtrap) with it

My evo seems to handle way better than my rx8 did.

you can get some money for parts
you just have to downgrade at the parts shop you get negative money...so you get money back...and then sell the stock car
and i have the cayman that i won plus two evo's one bought one won and the golf i started with...try to alternate to keep heat in check

I bought the IS300, I won the the GTI and used that until I won the supra, I used that until I won the RX8. I kept them all stock until I started investing in the supra and I used that until I won EVO XIII, then I souped the EVO up to the max relatively cheaply and easily. I used the EVO all the way until I won the Lamborghini Gallardo. That was practically maxed out after I won it. Now i'm at number 4 on the blacklist and I switch between my lambo and my EVO. The lambo seems a little bit quicker to reach high speeds and hold them, however the EVO feels quicker at lower speeds and take off and handles like a dream. They're both all wheel drive which I absolutely love. I just won the Corvette and man all that thing does is wheel spin and drives like crap.

I just grabbed every pink slip on the list and used those cars to get to the next. Free cars are great. You save a ton of money by switching to geic...i mean not buying new cars and upgrades. And thanks to the "rubber band AI" pretty much any car you use can beat the CPU. So there you have it. Drive any car you want and you can still win.

started out with the craptastic Cobalt. I'm still using it, I have grown attached to it

for blacklist races, i use my RX-8 and i also have a Porsche (pinkslips).

working on BL #8, haven't played much in the past few days.

i think the RX-8 is blacklist 11 or 12, the only cars you really need the pinkslip on are the blacklist 2-4 (since they are so expensive)

still i had maxed out RX-7, RX-8, Viper, Carrera GT, SLR by the end of the game, if you do all the races you get a lot of money

uniques seem to be a bit of a waste, they're about the same as the max upgrade (so they only really worthwhile ones are the engine, transmission and turbo since they cost 75K + normally)

i don't think you can win with a very weak car on some of the more straighaway courses, the computer only generally makes mistakes on turns or heavy traffic

The computer drives slow when it's ahead of you and fast when it's behind you, so you can stay in the race with pretty much any car.

don't forget you can do a race multiple times for money... so if you found a race that was easy... keep doing it.

I lucked into still having my save from NFS:U2, and got an extra $10K so I started with the VW.

I just turned off the autosave, and save it right before I go to race the blacklist driver. If I don't get thier pink slip, I just reload, re-race & try again. So far I've only had to do that a couple of times.

I've kept them all so far. I just won the porsche last night & am about to start on the guy with the evo. The only money I've spent so far was on tires for the VW that the first guy had.

It also gives me quite a few cars to pick from when I'm doing the bounty missions.

I won the Gallardo and loved it.

Won the Corvette right after it and found the Corvette to be much better than the Gallardo.

Had my best fun with the Corvette. Guess everyones different.

there is a race on blacklist 2-4 that takes less than 2 minutes and gets 16 grand, thats the race to do

I've been through a bunch but still have my Lancer, Viper, and Gallardo. The Gallardo is much faster than the Viper with all of my unlocked options right now...I just want to see how the Viper is with the super-charger. The Elise probably has some of the best handling of the earlier cars and was a blast to drive. Upgraded it can be pretty fast. My problem right now is that milestones are getting hard to achieve. I'll pick the ones that throw me in the chase and the chase will ALWAYS last less than 30 seconds and I let the cops catch up too. The longest/best chases are when you're out cruising around and driving recklessly.

Yeah, it's way too easy to run from the cops. Need for speed: hot pursuit had much better cop chases. The cops would ram you a lot more and try to cut you off, and if you come to a full stop close to a cop, you're busted. I find in most wanted they mostly just drive along with you without trying to run you off the road. If you do crash and stop, they'll try to box you in, but that's about it, and they have to keep you boxed in like that for like 5-10 seconds before you get busted, so you can usually just plow through them.

I thought that too until I started getting to heat level 5. Gets crazy then and end up being very hard to get away. It doesn't let you get up to level 5 until you get to aroud #3 or 4 on the Black list I think.
Then the final chase is just crazy. Took me several tries and alot of cursing at my screen before I finally got away.

The only car I ever bought (except for the first one you have to buy) was the Mustang GT because I'm a huge mustang fan and that's what I actually drive every day.
Anyways, I guess I was just pretty lucky but I got the pink slip from 10 of the 14 BL racers, so I never needed to buy another car.

My favorite is the Corvette. I must admit that I am kind of partial to American muscle cars though.

the GT feels like a F1 car, doing the last sequence in the BMW felt so slow after racing in it but its not that difficult, you just have to get into the original part of the city, its only like 6 minutes or so, the 13 minute challenge is so long and boring, I just went round and round the highway (close to 5 times) and then use the stadium, the evade a police chase in under set amount of time are pretty dumb as well, just use a level 1 car, you can be 10-15 meters away from a cop car and still cool down
