Like I said, his skill depends on yours. If you go 5mph, he'll go 7. It's just so that no matter what you do; you always have a chance.

4. How often do you upgrade your car? I mean, I started with punto, won the pinkslip for the lexus, now I've just won the supra ... it's a beautifull car, with serious amount of power (for now, at least). I'm thinking about keeping this one since it's a awesome ride to impress chicks :)
I suped my Supra, Mazda and my Mustang GT. Then I waited for the lambo.

If your cars actually got damaged to the pont where they wouldn't drive anymore, I don't think I'd ever finish a race late in the game.
The races get so long, traffic is extreme and the cars are way too fast to run an entire race without crashing.

If you want to have realistic damage, then you need to play a sim racing game, vice an arcadish one.

After the first car, I just raced the cars I'd won from the BL members. No real need to upgrade, because as stated above, the other will race to your cars ability, not theirs.

There is some advantage to upgrding though. It's true your opponents strength is proportional to your strength so in some ways it doesn't matter what car you have or what upgrades you have on the car. However, it's a lot easier to run races if you have a really good handling car. Also races that don't have opponents (i.e. the tollbooth challenges) are a lot easier if your car is faster and better handling. I don't believe that the required times between tollbooths changes based on the car you choose, so if you have a faster car it's easier to complete them. And the upgrades do help with the police chaces. My odds of beating the police in a pursuit improved dramatically once I got the Porsche. I'm not all that great at pursuits but I did finally beat a couple of heat 4 pursuits =) I haven't seen a heat 5 pursuit yet, should be fun.. lol.

The mirror doesn't show up on the 3rd person camera. Hit C to switch to an in-car cam.

I forgot about the tollbooth races. You are exactly right, a faster, better handling car is needed here.

If you want practice at pursuits, start doing the challenge mode. The pursuits near the end are just crazy.

What about the good old dificulty settings? What is there in the game that forces me to improve my driving skills, if not to beat the next oponent? Please don't tell me that beating #1 will be as easy as beating #15, only with better cars ...

What's the point of a damage option then? Just to see a cracked window at 250Km/h? That's pointless ... I'm not looking for a simulator, where I could even tweak the settings to get some more seconds out of the machine, just a simple damage-and-pay-for-repair option ... if people don't like it, they just disable it on the menu ... simple.

Why is there no Ferrari in the game? They asked for too much money? That's a pitty.

And why is it so much easy to get the pink slip from a beaten list member, and so cheap to buy a car (compared to the parts)?

Ferrari doesn't want to be embarrassed by this cheesy riced game maybe?

the one thing that was stupid, is that i spent the whole game trying to get my car back, and by the time i did, i had a car that was 10x better, with all the stuff at 100%

That doesn't shock me at all ... exactly what I would expect it to be. How the hell did it get to #1 in the first place? :)
