ya rly :p

It does run pretty nicely on my computer though, even in Vista RC2 (using the stock ATI drivers). Of course I'm limited to 1280x1024 since widescreen is apparently still a foreign concept to EA, even in late 2006...
Did you have to do anything special to get it to run?

It crashes for me right after the loading screen, on Vista RC1.

No, didn't have to do anything special. What video card are you using? I'm using an X1900XT with the drivers that Windows installs (as opposed to the "latest" ATI Vista drivers from their site, which are actually older...)

I'm on a 9600 Pro so it's rather old... and using the drivers from the ATI site. I'll try using the ones from windowsupdate...

Doesn't seem that I can get the RC2 drivers on RC1. Guess I'm out of luck unless I install RC2. Oh well...

Just got thre retail collector's edition. see my sig for my specs. running the latest forceware drivers. I played the demo on the previous drivers. at 1600x1200 I noticed a good improvement. also, I have 4x filtering on, yet I have chosen to leave the motion blur crap off. The environment vibrates enough on its own, the blur effect is waayyy overdone and unrealistic.

I have to think that at this point for the PC, we are looking at a minor patch to improve performance, in addition the next set of drivers (at least for nVidia owners) should get this game running smooth.

Another thing to note, I didnt find any mention of the advertising program that has been found to be in BF2142. No slip indication about the software, nor did I see anything in the EULA. I could have missed it, but I havent seen anything to indicate that BS programming is in this game.
