I think that's really the whole point of there being a regular NF4 and an SLI version--IIRC both have SATA II and whatever else NF4 brought other than PCIe that NF3 didn't have. Someone shoot me if I've fscked up yet again...

i was asking a similar question in the gh forums. will the performance between ultra and sli be identical?

<OT>Yeah, my high school requires it freshman and sophomore year (college prep school at a university), not that I'm complaining--it's a fun language and I'm picking it up well. (I picked up the term in econ study during Academic Decathlon practice, though--we freshmen are only 10 chapters through Wheelock's.)</OT>

I believe the Chaintech is actually the first NF4 Ultra to market. Tons of others will probably asplode onto the market next month, though, if you're looking for more choice.

you can pickup the msi ultra 4 at Zipzoomfly for 189 and maybe you can pickup one with a 2x PCIe and go with fake sli

As far as I can tell, the only diff is the SLI has the extra PCI-E slot. Performance should be identical. If you can afford it, I WOULD go the SLI route. There may come a time (sooner than you might think) when another gpu might offer some serious performance gains (FPS) with AA and AF cranked. Why limit yourself now?
