nForce4 Ultra - duplicate drive channels/controllers?

Guys, I'm running an EPoX 9NPA+Ultra board, with IDE for DVD (Primary channel) & DVD+/-RW drives (Secondary channel), and SATA for a single HD.

In Device Mgr., under IDE ATA/ATAPI controller there are duplicate listings for: Primary IDE channel, Secondary IDE channel, and Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE controller.

First off, is this an issue? I tried uninstalling one of each of the duplicates, and upon reboot they reinstalled. I disabled the Device1 setting under each of them, and no change. Is there a reason I'd either want or not want the duplicate listings, or is this common? If not common or desirable, how do I get rid of them?

When you have ghost devices, you need to delete them ALL (not just the extra ones) and then let them be redetected. Usually that will get you back to just one of each.
